Who is responsible for your data

This site is operated by Douglas Ryan Group Limited, trading as Lawrence Rudd Online Marketing, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17249868, registered office 13 The Green, Great Horwood, Milton Keynes, England, MK17 0RH). We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

For anything in this notice, contact Lawrence Rudd at lawrenceruddonlinemarketing@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the contact form:

  • Your name
  • Your company or brand, if you provide one — this is optional
  • Your email address
  • The content of your message

Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which typically include IP addresses and browser details, for security and reliability purposes.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the information you submit solely to read your enquiry, to reply to it, and to carry on any correspondence that follows. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — specifically, responding to someone who has deliberately contacted us about our services. Where an enquiry becomes a project, we process the data to take steps toward entering a contract with you.

Who else processes it

Contact form submissions are delivered to us by Formspree (Formspree, Inc., United States), which processes and stores the message on our behalf so we can receive it by email. The site itself is hosted by Netlify (Netlify, Inc., United States).

These providers act as our processors and may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they are required to protect it to a standard equivalent to UK data protection law. Your message will also be held in our email account, which is provided by Google.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and loads no third-party trackers, advertising pixels or embedded content. Nothing is stored on your device, and nothing you do here is measured or profiled. No cookie consent is needed because there is nothing to consent to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months of our last contact. Where an enquiry becomes a client project, we keep the correspondence for as long as we work together and then for six years afterwards, to meet UK accounting and tax record-keeping requirements.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email us at lawrenceruddonlinemarketing@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to address it first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data — for example by adding analytics to this site — we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
